LOS ANGELES — Carrara Media hosted friends and fans for its first live event of 2023 with special guest Victoria Scott signing copies of her recent release Postcards From the End of the World. Carrara founder Ryan ZumMallen appeared with his own title Slow Car Fast.

The event welcomed more than 50 guests for a Saturday evening of fun, new connections and fantastic cars at the Garage + Social space in the Mid-Wilshire district of Los Angeles.

The co-signing marked the first public celebration of the release of Postcards From the End of the World, spurred by Scott’s visit to the Los Angeles area from her home in Idaho. It gave fans a chance to connect with her face-to-face and offer congratulations while posing for pictures.

In addition to the wide array of collector cars on display that are permanently housed at Garage + Social, attendees brought impressive vehicles of their own to share.

Among them were a 1990s Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4, a rare Porsche Carrera RS and a new Acura NSX. Outside were several special JDM vehicles such as a tuned and modified Acura Integra and a right-hand drive Toyota Gracia station wagon.

Guests were also treated to pizza and beverages while live footage of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race streamed onto television screens around the facility.

The book signing at Garage + Social marked the first public event for Carrara Media since early 2020, and the first since launching publication of both Postcards and The Stainless Steel Carrot. The company plans to host several more live events in the coming months.
