The book publishing process is full of exciting updates.
Today we’re happy to share one about Vochos Unidos, our upcoming photobook from author Rodrigo Gaya Villar.
Here are images provided by our printer in Mexico. They are currently deep in production of Vochos Unidos — here’s your first peek at the finished product!
Images from our Book on Volkswagen Beetles
Pictured here is a test proof of finished images and layout, on the actual paper that will be featured in the book. But this isn’t just any paper.
Vochos Unidos chronicles the culture of Volkswagen Beetles, or vochos, throughout the cities and towns of Mexico. So it was important that we incorporate the country as much as possible.
This book is 100-percent printed and bound in Mexico. Typically, the paper being used is imported from other countries. However we’re proud to use paper that is fully sourced, processed and treated in Mexico as well.
Why We Use Paper Sourced from Mexico in Vochos Unidos
Using paper sourced directly from Mexico lends the book a unique look and feel. It also honors the country that inspired Gaya Villar to create this book, and provides authenticity — which is a core value here at Carrara Media.
We believe readers will notice the difference.
